Een witte muur die in iets anders verandert
three-channel video installation

a film by Mirte van Duppen for TAC

Temporary Art Center (TAC) is housed in a former Philips building on the Vonderweg in Eindhoven for over 15 years. The building is outdated and was originally intended to be demolished in its entirety. Through collaboration with the project developer Focus Real Estate it became financially possible to preserve this location. The building will be partly demolished, renovated and a new building with a residential tower will be constructed.

TAC is transforming. What significance does that have for TAC and its users? And who is TAC? Een witte muur die in iets anders verandert shows TAC from the perspective of interaction between building and its users. People make the building, the building facilitates the people. But is it specifically these four walls that give people room for experimenting? The three-channel video installation shows the building with and without its residents. Strolling through the building, as a viewer you see, hear and feel the 'invisible', soft value of the TAC incubator.
