Many people are looking for a home, finding a new home is currently very complicated. Buying a house is only for the lucky few. There is a housing crisis. And this housing crisis is causing polarization: there is a growing difference between people who can live the way they want and those who cannot. The question is whether flexible housing can offer a solution. To what extent do materiality, the immediate environment and temporality affect whether people feel ‘at home’? Living is a right, but so is living enjoyment?

Veel mensen zijn op zoek naar een woning, een nieuwe woning vinden is op dit moment erg ingewikkeld. Een huis kopen is alleen nog maar voor de lucky few. Er is een wooncrisis. En die wooncrisis zorgt voor polarisatie: er is een groeiend verschil tussen mensen die wel kunnen wonen zoals ze willen en zij die dat niet kunnen. De vraag is of flexwoningen een oplossing kunnen bieden. In hoeverre zijn materialiteit, de directe omgeving en tijdelijkheid van invloed op of mensen zich “thuis” voelen? Wonen is een recht, maar is woongenot dat ook?
